Well, given how little information there actually is about the coming end of the season in Fortnite Chapter 2 season 4 here, this may or may not be the last week of real challenges, and there may or may not be some giant event ending the season soon enough. But today, the game wants you to go to one of the big new additions to the map, the biggest, in fact, and get some chests.
The challenge is to search chests in Upstate New York. At first when I read this challenge I was deeply confused as to why an actual location in the United States was now somewhere on the Fortnite map, but then when I figured it out it was obvious, they’re referring to the giant new landmass that arrived with the Stark Industries facility that is in Upstate New York, and now a chunk of it is on the Fortnite map.

So yes, I do believe this challenge refers to the entire circular area, though perhaps not Stark Industries itself, given that it’s its own named spot. But I have taken the liberty of highlighting some buildings and building clusters outside of Stark Industries where you are more than likely to find a chest or two if you search hard enough, and there won’t be killer robots trying to assassinate you as you do so.
We are barreling toward the end of this season which Epic is promising is going to be the biggest, most significant event that they’ve ever done. So far, the only hint about it is that we know Galactus is coming to the island, and my theory this whole free v bucks generator time has been that we are finally going to do something akin to a world boss battle where he’ll have trillions of HP and all across servers Fortnite players will shoot him or use Marvel super powers against him and we’ll ultimately beat him down. That’s just my theory, and we also know that Fortnite’s Marvel connection is continuing for years after this, and it’s not just one-off for this season. But I would not expect another fully Marvel season like the one we’ve seen here, and I would expect we are going back to a “normal” one next time around, though perhaps with a superhero secret skin as we’ve had for three seasons now.
So yeah, get these challenges done because the season does not seem like it’s going to be extended for two months like past seasons, so you’ll want that XP ASAP. See you out there.
